Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in New Jersey seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure top-notch customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety. You will train new staff, manage cash handling, and ensure procedures are followed across daily operations.

The role involves supervising opening/closing tasks, operating the POS system, and maintaining product quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Complete a variety of kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations, concerns, or problems.
