Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in New Jersey seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and uphold brand standards across our plaza. You will train new team members and oversee cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong customer service, leadership experience, and the ability to work flexible days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policy.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, and temperature checks of products.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prep, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain product knowledge across plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
