Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure top-notch customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety. The role includes training new team members and monitoring cash handling compliance.

The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, handle POS transactions, and maintain a clean, efficient workspace while driving friendly interactions with travelers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services in the plaza.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and all company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
