Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

You will train new team members, manage cash handling, operate the POS, perform opening/closing tasks, and maintain product knowledge while supporting cross-sell opportunities. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain solid knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
