Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to assist branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed and maintained to high standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

You will open, run and close shifts, supervise associates, participate in hiring decisions, and maintain daily schedules while ensuring safety and HACCP standards are met. This is a non-exempt on-site position with growing career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 2 years food and beverage experience.
• Requires minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a unit.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring recommendations to the GM.
• Assists in preparing schedules and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods.
• Maintains display areas that are clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Operates cash register and follows cash handling policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
• Places orders for units, receives goods and processes invoices.
• Keeps contact information for associates up to date.
