Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager II to assist branch management in overseeing QSR or casual dining restaurant operations. You’ll ensure the restaurant is clean, open, staffed, and runs to high standards, applying company policies to daily decisions.

The role includes supervising associates, scheduling, maintaining safety and wellness guidelines, handling cash, placing orders, and coordinating with the General Manager to drive guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in food & beverage, cash handling and customer service.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory/lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, understand instructions, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures per policy.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates within unit.
• Ensure compliance with Alcoholic Beverages policies and AB procedures.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions; guidance to GM on status changes.
• Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensure mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Maintain display areas: clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Operate cash register and manage cash following policies.
• Monitor wellness and safety procedures and report concerns to GM.
• Perform Health and Safety activities per guidelines.
• Place orders, receive goods, process invoices.
• Maintain current contact information for associates.
