Job summary

HMSHost in Missouri is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in QSR or similar restaurant operations. The MGRI ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high operational standards.

You will oversee opening/closing, scheduling, safety, inventory, and cash handling while following company policies. The role reports to the GM or Ops leadership and requires flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts across opening, busy periods, and closing to monitor restaurant staff.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local sanitary and health standards, and HACCP procedures.
• Experience supervising and scheduling restaurant staff; participates in interviewing and hiring decisions.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a unit or group of units.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring decisions; advises GM on promotions or terminations.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas; checks equipment.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per policy; ensures cash security.
• Monitors wellness and safety compliance; reports concerns to GM; performs Health & Safety activities.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Keeps current contact information for all associates.
