Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to assist branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. The Manager I ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high operational standards, using prescribed policies to inform decisions.

You will open, run, and close procedures, supervise associates, participate in interviewing and hiring, assign tasks and schedules, monitor wellness and safety, manage inventory and cash handling, and ensure

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling and customer service experience.
• Requires minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Requires ability to read, understand instructions and policy documents and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures per company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring; supports promotions and status changes with GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules and ensures all shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and follows cash handling policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety and reports safety concerns to GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities as per Manager’s Guide.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for associates.
