Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

You will open, run, and close shifts, supervise associates, and participate in hiring decisions while maintaining cash handling and safety procedures. This role is on-site and requires flexible hours across the week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, short correspondence and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group.
• Participate in hiring processes and recommend personnel actions to the GM.
• Assign tasks, prepare schedules and ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensure breaks and meal periods are taken by associates.
• Keep display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling policies.
• Monitor wellness and safety procedures and report concerns to the GM.
• Engage in Health and Safety activities per the Manager's Guide.
• Place orders for units, receive goods and process invoices.
• Maintain current contact information for all associates.
