Job summary

Thorntons LLC is seeking a Shift Leader to maintain safety, oversee all shift duties, and manage cash and inventory control. The role includes training teammates, handling vendor check‑ins, and ensuring adherence to food safety and store policies across 1st–3rd shifts.

Ideal candidates will coach others, deliver excellent guest service, and balance delegation with task completion while maintaining Thorntons’ core values and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Food Certifications (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible leader on shift when the Store Manager/General Manager is absent and assign work.
• Deliver guest service with a helpful attitude and follow store management instructions.
• Practice safe working habits and report maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Adhere to laws governing alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales.
• Prepare fresh food items meeting safety standards and maintain logs and certificates as required.
• Follow cash handling procedures and document discrepancies, overrides, and inventory use.
• Keep displays stocked and support merchandising and promotions.
• Lead training for new team members and support the store in multiple shifts.
• Support new company initiatives and ensure timely PAR levels.
