Job summary

Thorntons is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily store operations, coach team members, and ensure safety and compliance on shift. You will manage guest service, cash handling, and food safety while coordinating tasks with management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food certifications preferred.
• Ability to coach and train team members.
• Experience in cash handling and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-shift leader when Store/General Manager is absent and manage tasks.
• Deliver guest service with a helpful attitude and look for opportunities to delight guests.
• Practice safe working habits and report safety issues to management.
• Adhere to laws related to alcohol, tobacco, and lottery.
• Prepare fresh food meeting food safety standards and maintain records.
• Follow cash handling procedures and document cash discrepancies.
• Maintain stocked shelves and displays and front-end areas.
• Encourage loyalty program participation and guest engagement.
• Lead shift and training of new team members.
