Job summary

Thorntons is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, ensure food safety, and coach team members on standards and procedures. The role involves acting as on-shift leader when managers are absent, managing cash and inventory, and delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be prepared to train new team members, maintain store standards, and uphold Thorntons Core Values while coordinating with regional and store leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-shift leader when the Store Manager or General Manager is absent and assign work.
• Deliver guest service with a helpful attitude.
• Maintain safety and comply with laws on alcohol, tobacco, and lottery.
• Prepare fresh food meeting safety standards and obtain relevant certifications.
• Manage cash handling and document discrepancies.
• Keep coolers, dispensers, shelves, and displays stocked and clean.
• Lead and train team; uphold Thorntons values and policies.
• Adhere to attendance and store policies and complete assigned tasks.
