Job summary

Marco’s Pizza is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee daily store operations, guide team members, and ensure an exceptional guest experience during assigned shifts. This hands-on role combines leadership with food preparation, cash handling, and compliance with safety standards, while coaching staff to achieve operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, problem-solving skills, a High School diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required food handler certifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills for cash handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support store crew across all workstations during shifts.
• Lead and train employees, open and close the store, manage breaks and shift changes.
• Perform crew tasks: makeline, cut table, oven monitoring, packaging, order accuracy, guest service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Monitor product quality and take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with Drivers and the Manager to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Manage cash handling procedures and balance registers accurately.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members to build skills.
• Assist with training new team members and setting clear expectations.
• Handle shift-related issues with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
• Communicate effectively with team members and guests.
