Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to assist branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. The MGRI ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high operational standards, following prescribed policies to make management decisions.

The role includes opening/closing duties, supervising associates, hiring input, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining cash controls and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, understand instructions and policy documents, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a unit or group of restaurants.
• Participates in interviewing and provides input on hiring, promotions, or terminations.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures all breaks and meal periods are observed and safety standards followed.
• Maintains cleanliness and visual appeal of display areas and equipment.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per policies, maintaining cash security.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns to management.
• Places orders for units and processes invoices.
• Keeps contact information for associates up to date.
