Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in QSR or similar restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and runs to high standards, using prescribed policies to inform decisions.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, supervising associates, participating in hiring, scheduling, safety, and health compliance, and managing day-to-day operations to deliver excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions and policies; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policy.
• Supervises day‑to‑day activities of associates within the unit.
• Assists in hiring processes and recommends promotions or terminations to GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures rest breaks and meal periods are taken by associates.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per policy.
• Monitors safety procedures and reports concerns to GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities as specified in the health guide.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for all associates.
