Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I (MGRI) to assist Branch management in executing QSR-style restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, supervising associates, hiring input, scheduling, and maintaining safety and health standards at the unit. This role reports to the GM or a multi-unit manager and requires varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a unit.
• Participates in interviewing and provides input on hiring and promotions to the GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken by associates.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per cash handling policies.
