Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee day-to-day operations and lead the team on shift, in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant GM.

You will ensure brand standards, product knowledge, and guest connections are delivered with consistency, coaching staff and maintaining a welcoming environment. This full-time role emphasizes leadership, flexibility, and hands-on store operation.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role, or properly trained and approved to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Shift Leaders are expected to maintain flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Leads shifts with an unwavering commitment to Make Fun Happen — keeping the team engaged, the energy up, and the shift on track.
• Optimizes product sales while effectively managing waste and maintaining an inviting, well-executed coffeehouse environment.
• Knows the day's deployment and the roles tied to it, communicating clearly on the floor to keep the shift moving.
• Takes ownership of the current shift and sets up a smooth hand-off for the shift that follows.
• Ensures the team executes standard operating procedures and upholds brand standards for quality, cash handling, and store safety.
