Job summary

Thorntons is seeking a shift leader to manage on-shift operations, safety, and cash/inventory controls. You will train teammates, coach staff, and ensure high-quality guest service during assigned shifts across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods.

Essential duties include leading in the store when managers are absent, enforcing policies, and coordinating with store leadership to meet performance targets and maintain operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food handling certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-shift leader when management is absent, assign work and oversee procedures.
• Deliver guest service with a helpful attitude and look for ways to delight guests.
• Follow safety rules and report maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Adhere to laws on restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, lottery).
• Prepare fresh food and maintain food safety standards and logs.
• Follow cash handling procedures and document discrepancies.
• Keep store stocked and clean, including equipment and displays.
• Support training of new team members and coach staff.
