Thorntons is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, ensure safety, manage inventory and cash, and coach team members across multiple shifts. The role emphasizes training, adherence to procedures, and delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires flexible availability for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with additional compensation for elevated responsibilities when managers are absent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Food Certifications (Preferred)
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts and supervise team

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible leader on shift when Store Manager or General Manager is absent; assign work, oversee inventory, and ensure tasks are completed.
• Deliver guest service with a can-do attitude and seek ways to delight guests.
• Practice safe working habits; report maintenance or safety problems to management.
• Adhere to laws and regulations related to alcohol, tobacco, and lottery.
• Prepare fresh food meeting safety standards and maintain logs and dating procedures.
• Follow cash handling procedures and document discrepancies; manage price overrides and store waste.
• Keep coolers and displays stocked; use suggestive selling to boost sales.
• Support training of new team members and uphold Thorntons’ Core Values
