Job summary

Velvet Taco is seeking an energetic Shift Leader to supervise hourly team members and deliver a positive guest experience at THE GALLERIA location in Houston. You will open, mid, and close each day, resolve guest concerns, and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and service standards.

Lead by example in a fast-paced setting, manage cash handling and POS setup, and collaborate with management on inventory. Must have Food Handler's and Alcoholic Beverage Service certifications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on restaurant needs.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Food Handler's Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification required.
• Strong leadership, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and motivates others to follow procedures with urgency.
• Maintains food safety with line checks, shelf storage, expiration dates, and cleanliness.
• Supports Management with the inventory process.
