Job summary

Velvet Taco, Inc. is hiring a Shift Leader to supervise hourly team members and ensure a friendly guest experience in a fast-paced Houston restaurant. You will help with opening, mid, and closing duties, while guiding staff to follow procedures and maintain high standards.

You will handle cash and POS operations, assist with inventory, and lead by example to keep a safe, clean, and efficient environment. Must be 21+, with 2 years of supervisory work and required food and beverage certifications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as Shift Leader/Supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Food Handler's Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening, mid, and closing duties with adherence to standard procedures.
• Interact with guests to resolve concerns and ensure a positive experience.
• Handle cash, set up POS drawers, process comps and voids, and manage deposits.
• Lead by example to motivate team members and ensure safe, clean, organized space.
• Support management with inventory and daily prep sign-offs.
