Job summary

Velvet Taco is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to oversee hourly team members and ensure a superior guest experience. You will manage opening, mid, and closing duties, handle cash and POS operations, and lead by example to maintain swift, friendly service in a fast-paced setting.

You will also support inventory, prep sign-offs, and food safety while promoting teamwork, ownership, and accountability across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on needs.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with multitasking.
• Strong emphasis on food safety and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Open, mid, and closing duties per standard procedures.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and POS operations during shifts.
• Lead and motivate team members to follow procedures with urgency.
• Support management with inventory and prep list sign-offs.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and enforce food safety protocols.
