Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and adherence to company standards. You’ll lead a team, manage opening/closing tasks, and monitor safety and service metrics to drive performance.

The role requires at least 1 year of restaurant supervisory experience or EPL SPECS certification, plus completion of EPL Food Safety Audit after hire. Competitive benefits and scheduling flexibility are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts and in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Manage opening/closing procedures and inventory, including cash handling and deposits.
• Ensure customer service targets and safety/QSC standards are met; train and support team on new products and procedures.
• Assign tasks, manage staffing during shifts, and monitor food production with Area Leader guidance.
