Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts and lead the team to deliver exceptional service. You will manage opening/closing, inventory, safety, and training, ensuring quality and speed of service across all duties.

The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and maintaining EPL standards while supporting growth within the restaurant. Flexible scheduling and formal supervision are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be EPL SPECS certified or have 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Must pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) after hire.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant, manage setup, prep, cleaning, and inventory.
• Ensure service speed, cleanliness, and QSC safety standards.
• Adjust staffing and train team on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash operations, deposits, and area-leader guidance.
• Greet customers and support order intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
