Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily restaurant operations across the shift. You will lead a team to deliver fast, friendly service, manage opening and closing duties, and uphold food safety and quality standards while supporting a positive guest experience.

You’ll monitor staffing, train teammates, and coordinate with the Area Leader to ensure smooth service and adherence to EPL specs, with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, coordinate tasks for setup, food prep and cleaning, and conduct inventory checks.
• Ensure customer service and speed metrics meet goals; maintain cleanliness and safety per QSC standards.
• Prioritize tasks, manage breaks, adjust staffing based on sales volume, and consult Area Leader for guidance.
