Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations on assigned shifts, ensuring quality guest experiences and adherence to EPL standards. You’ll lead a team, manage opening/closing tasks, and train staff on new products and procedures to deliver fast, friendly service.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficient workflow, with opportunities for career growth and a focus on delivering fire-grilled, flame-kissed meals to guests.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

Manage opening and closing procedures, coordinate tasks for setup, food prep, and cleaning.
Ensure service speed and customer satisfaction while upholding safety and QSC standards.
Adjust staffing and supervise break policies; train and support team on new products and procedures.
Oversee cash handling, deposits, and audits while ensuring compliance with procedures.
Greet customers and assist with orders, maintaining a friendly service approach.
