Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader to manage daily restaurant operations during shifts, lead the team, and ensure exceptional service. You’ll supervise opening/closing, inventory, and cash handling while promoting safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes training staff, maintaining guest satisfaction, and upholding EPL SPECS and FSA requirements to drive smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.
• Must pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, coordinate tasks for setup, food prep and cleaning, and manage inventory records.
• Ensure service speed and customer satisfaction while upholding health and safety standards.
• Adjust staffing and supervise breaks to maintain productivity during shifts.
• Train and support team members on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash registers, deposits, and company funds while on shift.
• Greet customers and assist with orders to ensure a positive experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
