Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. You will guide the team to deliver exceptional service, manage food prep, inventory, and safety standards, and ensure smooth cash handling and deposits.

You will coach team members on new products and procedures, optimize staffing based on sales, and help maintain health code compliance and QSC standards. This role emphasizes leadership and customer-focused execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year of supervisory experience and pass EPL FSA after hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead opening/closing procedures and manage inventory.
• Ensure service speed and QSC standards.
• Assign tasks and manage staffing during shifts.
• Train staff on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash, deposits, and shift operations.
• Provide friendly order assistance and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
