Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily restaurant operations and lead a fast-paced team during your shift. You’ll oversee opening/closing, safety, inventory, and cash handling while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will train staff on new products and procedures, ensure QSC standards, and support management to meet company goals. This role offers full-time or part-time scheduling opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year supervisory restaurant experience and pass EPL FSA after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing procedures, including security and inventory checks.
• Ensure service speed and cleanliness meets company standards and health codes.
• Prioritize tasks and adjust staffing based on sales volume.
• Train team members on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash drawers, deposits, and audits during shifts.
• Encourage friendly, accurate customer service and order assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operations.
