Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise restaurant operations on assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and adherence to company standards. You will lead a team, manage inventory and cash handling, and uphold safety and quality procedures.

The role emphasizes ongoing training, scheduling flexibility, and maintaining fast, friendly service while supporting a positive work environment and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL FSA class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, coordinate crew tasks, manage inventory and deliveries.
• Ensure service speed and cleanliness meet company standards and health codes (QSC).
• Prioritize tasks during shifts, adjust staffing for sales volume, and monitor food production with Area Leader guidance.
• Train staff on new products and procedures and supervise cash handling and deposits.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by greeting guests and assisting with orders in a friendly manner.
