Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works seeks a Shift Leader to guide a fast-paced team and uphold high standards of food quality and customer service. You will lead shifts, train associates, manage tasks, and help control costs while ensuring safety and cleanliness across the restaurant.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You must meet Food Safety requirements and obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for 8–9 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks with feedback.
• Ensure security procedures are followed and back-of-house standards met.
• Count drawers and handle cash following procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products efficiently.
