Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is hiring a Shift Leader to guide shift teams, manage associates, and uphold quality and service standards in a fast-paced setting. You will lead by example, ensure safety and cleanliness, and help drive sales while controlling costs.

Eligible candidates should have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in food service or retail, strong communication skills, and a valid Food Safety Certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to stand 8-9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must pass and maintain Food Safety Certification per state requirements.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts, assigning tasks and providing feedback.
• Ensure all security and back-of-house standards are followed.
• Count drawers and perform cash handling procedures.
• Prepare finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.) efficiently.
• Handle customer complaints and maintain quality standards.
