Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise and develop associates, ensuring top product quality and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You must be 18+, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in food-service or retail, plus food safety certification. Earn between $19.25 and $19.75 per hour plus digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. Illinois applicants must obtain certification within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks efficiently with feedback.
• Ensure security procedures and back-of-house standards.
• Count drawers and follow daily cash handling procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• Maintain health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food lines and supplies; keep areas clean.
