Potbelly Sandwich Shop in the United States is seeking a Shift Leader to lead a shift, develop associates, ensure product quality and customer service, and manage costs for each shift.

The role requires at least 18 years old and 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment, plus Food Safety Certification. You must be able to stand 8–9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds. Pay is $14.75–$18.54 per hour with digital tips and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in restaurant or retail preferred.
• Must pass and obtain Food Safety Certification.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand 8–9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks.
• Ensure security procedures are followed.
• Maintain back-of-house standards.
• Count drawers and handle cash procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, etc.).
• Adhere to health and safety standards.
• Restock food line and clean areas.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions.
• Handle customer complaints effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
