Potbelly Sandwich Shop is seeking a Shift Leader to guide a fast-paced team, uphold product quality and customer service, and drive sales while controlling costs on each shift.

You must be 18+, have supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting, and pass a Food Safety Certification. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to stand for long hours in a kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in restaurant/retail
• Must pass Food Safety Certification
• Friendly, customer-first mindset in fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Enjoy problem-solving
• Comfortable in bustling kitchen (knife skills a plus)
• Able to stand/walk 8–9 hours; lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and assign tasks with feedback
• Ensure security and standard operating procedures
• Count drawers and manage cash handling
• Prepare high-quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.)
• Restock food line and maintain cleanliness
• Handle customer complaints effectively
• Follow health and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
