Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works in Dayton, OH is seeking a friendly Shift Leader to coach and develop a team while delivering high-quality sandwiches and service in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead shifts, assign tasks, train staff, ensure food safety standards, manage cash handling, and strive to meet sales and cost targets. A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is preferred and eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification; eligibility requirements apply.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts, assigning tasks and providing feedback.
• Ensure security procedures and back-of-house standards are met.
• Count drawers and follow cash handling procedures.
• Prepare finished products efficiently and maintain quality.
• Uphold health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety.
• Restock food line items and keep the workstation organized.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, utensils; manage waste.
• Operate cash register and balance till; address customer concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
