Job summary

MOD Pizza is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and to support training for all new hires, program rollouts, and standards in the restaurant. You will be the senior squad member on shift and ensure the team performs essential tasks and delivers outstanding guest experiences.

You will flex to the needs of the restaurant and squad, sometimes leading and sometimes doing, while maintaining the MOD experience as the top priority.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Must have demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer or informal leader.
• Have a proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards; correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner.
• Have the ability to be a calming presence in periods of high volume.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift by doing the following key tasks: ensure the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work to support guests.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives.
• Ensure operating systems and equipment are maintained to meet restaurant goals; manage online ordering, catering, fundraising and customer review systems.
• Use MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety in Back of House and Front of House.
• Listen and resolve squad member and guest concerns; escalate issues to the AM or GM as appropriate.
• Manage cash within the shift including making change and processing refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed with GM support.
• Adhere to shift checklists and use tools to meet requirements.
• Review emails for information from Slice and other sources to keep squads effective.
