Velvet Taco is hiring a Shift Leader/Supervisor to manage hourly team members and ensure a top-notch guest experience. You will execute opening, mid, and closing duties, handle cash and POS operations, and lead the team to follow recipes and safety standards.

This role requires 21+ years old, 2 years of restaurant supervisory experience, and relevant food and beverage certifications. You will engage guests, resolve issues, and support management with inventory in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a Restaurant Environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on Restaurant needs.
• Possesses a Food Handler's Certification and is comfortable working around food.
• Possesses an Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification and complies with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manages Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following procedures and recipes.
• Handle guest concerns and guide to positive resolutions.
• Cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, comps, voids, and deposits during shifts.
• Lead and motivate team to follow procedures and maintain urgency for guest experience.
• De-escalate issues between team members and ensure everyone is heard.
• Support management with inventory processes.
• Maintain food safety through line checks, shelf storage, and expiration dates.
• Oversee daily prep list and ensure adherence to specifications and flavor profiles.
• Enforce safety practices e.g., cut gloves and clean floors.
