Description

Position Summary: Shift Leaders provide direct supervision and ensure all crew members work efficiently and effectively during their shift. They do not have a minimum hour requirement.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are representative but not exhaustive:

• Adhere to restaurant performance standards, ensuring crew members are actively working at their stations, managing workflow, and reassigning duties as needed.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly, using good judgment for customer credits and documenting decisions appropriately.
• Meet guest needs by ensuring timely food preparation, accurate delivery times, proper order verification, and courteous guest interactions.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, including proper glove use, cleanliness, and proper food storage.
• Ensure crew members follow uniform and safety guidelines, including proper footwear and hair restraints.
• Perform shift tasks such as cash handling, deposits, end-of-shift activities, and documenting unusual events.
• Ensure safety and security of personnel, guests, and assets, including securing the premises and controlling access after hours.
• Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling, ordering, inventory, and record-keeping.
• Support in training and developing crew members.

Experience/Education & Certification/Licenses

• Must pass the Mazzio’s Comp 1 Test before managing a shift.
• Possibility of requiring a Food Handler’s permit, Foodservice Sanitation Certification, or other permits based on local laws.
• Preferred valid driver’s license with insurance; driving record must meet company standards.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and perform tasks standing, walking, lifting, and carrying for extended periods.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment with exposure to heat, water, and liquids; frequent hand washing and operation of kitchen equipment.
