Job summary

Pollo Campero is seeking a Shift Manager in Herndon, VA to lead the crew and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will train, develop and supervise staff, plan duties, monitor procedures, handle issues, and open/close the restaurant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in similar roles or with customer experience.
• Demonstrates strong leadership potential by actively supporting team dynamics.
• Committed to guest satisfaction, upholding a guest-first mindset in all interactions.
• Preferred: Food Handlers Card/ ServSafe Certification
• Fluent in English & Spanish
• Ability to work with computers
• Must follow company Personal Care and Hygiene policies; ability to lift and push 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be over 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Plan duties and responsibilities for each shift.
• Verifies compliance of procedures and protocols.
• Attends and resolves problems as they appear in the restaurant operation.
• Assist the General Manager.
• Coach and lead a team with no supervision.
• Involves in operational and technical training of employees.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork and energy.
• Verifies customer satisfaction/Handles customer complaints.
• Applies a continuous improvement mindset to processes and procedures.
• Open/close restaurant.
• Assist with inventory (logging).
• Assist with staffing needs.
• Assist with controllables and labor.
• Maintains sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food prep areas, cooking services, and dishes.
• Follows safety rules, policies, and procedures.
