Job summary

Pollo Campero in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Shift Manager to train, develop and lead the crew, ensuring a top-notch Customer Experience and smooth end-to-end operations.

Responsibilities include planning shift duties, ensuring procedures compliance, solving issues, supporting the General Manager, coaching the team, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred and a Food Handlers/SERVSAFE Certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in similar roles or with customer experience.
• Leadership potential and guest-satisfaction focus.
• Preferred: Food Handlers Card/ ServSafe Certification
• Fluent in English & Spanish.
• Ability to lift and push 50 lbs.
• Must stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be over 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Plan duties and responsibilities for each shift.
• Verifies compliance of procedures and protocols.
• Attends and resolves problems in the restaurant operation.
• Assist the General Manager.
• Coach and lead a team with no supervision.
• Involves training of employees.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork and energy.
• Verifies customer satisfaction/Handles customer complaints.
• Applies a continuous improvement mindset to processes and procedures.
• Open/close restaurant.
• Assist with inventory (logging).
• Assist with staffing needs.
• Assist with controllables and labor.
• Maintains sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Follows and abides by all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
