Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a store associate to support operations in our New York location. The role covers opening/closing the store, cash handling, and delivering a high-quality customer experience.

You will assist with inventory, pricing, and merchandising while ensuring compliance with policies and safety rules. Responsibilities include handling cash, processing returns, aiding with deliveries, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change at registers.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintains inventory accuracy across basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Registers all sales, reviews price verifications, and handles voids or price adjustments as needed.
• Supports merchandising by adjusting displays, signage, and pricing to compliance and promotions.
• Performs general store upkeep, back door access for deliveries, and adheres to safety and policy requirements.
