Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Shift Lead to direct daily store activities in the absence of managers. You will open and close the store, protect assets, monitor staff performance, and uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards while delivering excellent customer service.

You should have strong communication skills, basic math ability, and be dependable and flexible with travel to multiple locations. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent product knowledge and the ability to train other team members.
• Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must read, write and speak in English; Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Must be dependable and flexible and able to travel to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures.
• Directs and monitors the day-to-day activities of full time/part time store team members in all departments.
• Communicates with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolves customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Documents complaints and takes follow-up steps to correct the source of the complaint.
• Performs cashier and stocking duties when necessary.
• Escalates employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager.
• Stocks inventory across departments and checks dates.
• Ensures health and safety compliance.
• Handles emergency management and loss prevention procedures.
• Participates in panel interviewing but has no hiring authority.
• Performs other duties, including working in other departments.
