Colonial Group's Saint Petersburg, FL store seeks a dedicated Shift Lead to oversee daily operations in the absence of management. You will manage front-end activities, assist customers, resolve complaints, and supervise team members across departments.

You will handle cash procedures, merchandising, safety, and sanitation while following company policies. Strong communication, math skills, and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong math and cash-handling abilities.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Spanish or other language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store per established procedures.
• Direct day-to-day activities of full-time/part-time team members across departments.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolve customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Document complaints and follow up to fix root cause.
• Conduct front-end cash handling procedures and till management.
• Complete electronic store reports and report results to Store Manager.
• Perform cashier and stocking duties when necessary.
• Escalate employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager.
• Respond to vendors and coordinate deliveries.
• Stock inventory across departments and verify dates.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in store operations.
• Handle emergencies and evacuation procedures as required.
• Protect company property and loss prevention practices.
• Maintain store sanitation and assist in other departments as needed.
• Serve as first contact for media/regulatory visitors.
• May participate in interview panels but cannot hire.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
