Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. in Franklin, PA seeks a Shift Lead to direct daily store team activities in the absence of managers. You will open/close the store, protect property and funds, monitor performance, and ensure health and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive product knowledge and the ability to train other team members.
• Previous training / supervisory experience a plus.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Must be dependable and flexible.
• Ability to travel to multiple work locations.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for opening and closing the store according to established procedures.
• Directs and monitors the day-to-day activities of full time/part time store team members in all departments.
• Communicates with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolves customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Documents complaints and takes follow-up steps to correct the source of the complaint.
• Performs cashier and stocking duties when necessary.
• Escalates employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager.
• Protects company property, funds and merchandise.
• Ensures loss prevention procedures are followed daily.
• Responsible for store sanitation, cleaning throughout the shift.
