Job summary

Walgreens in New York is seeking a Part-Time Retail Key Holder to help open and close the store when management is unavailable. You will handle cash, assist with deliveries, and ensure all systems and stock are ready for the business day.

You will engage customers, resolve issues, and model Walgreens service traits to deliver a distinctive customer experience every day. Experience in leadership, cash handling, and store operations is required.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Arrest/conviction history may be considered; valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds and cash drops to the safe; provides change at registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients, greets and assists with products and services; resolves issues for a positive experience.
• Represents customer service best practices to team members to maintain Walgreens service traits.
• Holds store keys to open/close without management; assists with vendor deliveries and backroom processes.
• Registers all sales; tracks scanning errors, price verifications and voids; reviews order exceptions; supports reverse logistics.
• Develops displays, performs resets, maintains inventory accuracy across departments and stockroom.
• Performs basic department pricing and signage; handles local regulatory pricing tasks; assists with bookkeeping, cash counts and ledgers.
• Supports store maintenance and separation of food items; ensures stock rotation and backstock management.
• Has working knowledge of store systems and equipment; assists at Pharmacy out window.
