Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-site teams across travel plazas. You will ensure exceptional service, supervise daily tasks, and uphold brand standards while managing cash handling and food safety procedures.

You will train new hires, monitor compliance, and support across opening, ongoing operations, and closing activities with a focus on travelers’ needs and plaza performance.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Able to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and handle transactions per policy.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking and temp control.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prep, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and upsell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
