Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and enforce brand standards and food safety. This role trains new team members and monitors cash handling procedures.

You will open, daily, and closing procedures, operate POS, stock and maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a fast-paced, guest-focused environment across our travel plazas.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
