Job summary

Five Guys in Los Angeles is looking for a Shift Leader to run operations on busy shifts, lead by example, and deliver fast, friendly service. You’ll work side-by-side with the team, stepping in for management when needed, and help maintain brand standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

With 1–2 years in restaurant or hospitality, you’ll coach crew, train new team members, and keep breaks, cash handling, and closing tasks organized while building a positive culture.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing, not only directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn't on site.
• Jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
