Job summary

Five Guys is hiring Shift Leaders to lead busy shifts in a fast-paced restaurant.

You’ll work side-by-side with your team to ensure every guest walks out impressed, while modeling leadership and customer service. The role involves running operations when management isn’t on site and covering multiple positions, with compensation starting at $16.50–$18.50/hour plus tips and bonus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communications skills.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
